Hi, I'm Shon Gerber
I am a Cybersecurity professional with over 23 years of experience in the field, teaching and training individuals like you. I have been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2009, following my second attempt.
I started my career wanting to be an airline pilot, and as a result, I ended up joining the military to achieve my dreams. As a result, I ended up being a Weapons System Officer (WSO) flying B-1B Bombers (Yea Baby!) for the United States Air Force.
However, God had a different plan for my life and in a short period an opportunity occurred for me to be part of an elite group of military hackers…USAF Red Team. Our mission was to expose gaps in military computer systems so that proper protections could be implemented to protect national security. I was fortunate to eventually become the Commander of the 177th Information Aggressor Squadron (IAS) and retired from the military after 24 years of service.
After deciding to leave the military, I was fortunate to begin working for one of the largest multinational companies in the world as a Security Architect. Over the next 11 years, I managed a Security Operations Center (SOC) team of 15 Security Analysts and served in various capacities as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
In addition, I was an Adjunct Professor at a local college (Wichita State University) in Kansas, teaching Cyber Security Risk Management and Cyber-Physical systems.
Currently, I am operating as a Partner/Cybersecurity Consultant for a company called Next Peak, which is focused on cybersecurity expertise related to the financial and healthcare industries and as a fractional CISO for various other cybersecurity consulting companies.
Bottom line: If you are looking for someone who can teach you the test as quickly as possible so that you can pass the CISSP in weeks, this program is not right for you. However, if you are looking to obtain your CISSP certification and the knowledge to be successful, and desire to work with someone who has held many positions within the cybersecurity space, strive to achieve...this program is for YOU! You Got This!!!!
As you can see, my career has been crazy and fun…but that is not what I am most proud of for my life. I have been incredibly blessed to be married to my gorgeous wife Trish for 30 years. God has blessed us with seven children, three biological and four born from their hearts that yearn to answer the call of “caring for the orphans.” This calling has taken us to China three times and once to Uganda. I have a grandchild, a son-in-law, future daughter in-law, and potentially another son-in-law from Sri Lanka. Lastly, Trish and I have another daughter who lives in Russia with her family and she will always have a very special place in our hearts…We love you Alsu!

The site and the associated content was created for the sole purpose of providing a centralized location where individuals can receive the knowledge and necessary training to assist in helping member pass the CISSP exam the first time!
CCT's mission is to provide robust training to individuals via audio, video and personal training to better prepare them for a career in cybersecurity. Through this direct and indirect training the cybersecurity workforce is better prepared to protect and defend society from the "Evil Hacker Horde".
