  You can still sit for the CISSP exam without having the full 5 years of required work experience in cybersecurity.

• Pass the CISSP exam.
  You must still pass the CISSP exam, which consists of:

  • 125–175 questions (adaptive format)

  • Covering all 8 domains of the CISSP CBK

  • Scored between 0–1000 (you need a 700 or above to pass)

• Become an Associate of (ISC)².
  If you pass the exam but do not have the required experience:

  • You will be granted the title of "Associate of (ISC)²"

  • This designation shows that you have passed the exam but are still working toward the required professional experience.

• You have up to 6 years from the date you pass the exam to accumulate the necessary 5 years of paid work experience in at least 2 of the 8 CISSP domains.

• You must then submit an endorsement from a current (ISC)² member and verify your work experience to become a fully certified CISSP.
